Floats amazingly well

The base has a large surface area for the weight compared with a boat or canoe, so it sinks only a few centimetres (inch or so) into the water, even with the burner, flue and gear in.

The tub comes with two plastic screw-in plugs to seal the hose outlets.

We’ve paddled it and towed it behind canoes and dropped it off boats and surfed it into the beach. Eventually we’ll find a long enough shafted outboard and drive it!
