You can make coffee on it!

The flue cowl has a flat top designed for cooking on. It does take longer than cooking directly on an electric element or gas flame, but water boils okay and it’s ideal for simmering stews or keeping soup hot.

Much more importantly, you can make coffee! (Stove top expresso maker unfortunately not provided.)
