This is a one- and two-day bike, kayak, and mountain run from one side of the South Island of New Zealand to the other.

Unfortunately Emily came off her bike about a week before the race. However those bits of her that weren’t in plaster or bandages enjoyed the tub at the layover at Klondyke Corner near Arthurs Pass.

That’s her dad Gerrard behind her, who has a rich history of tarmac diving off bikes, so maybe it’s in the genes.
