This is where it all started 18 years ago. The original wooden macrocarpa tub is still in use at our Bannockburn crib (bach) in Central Otago. So many people said this is great, make us one, that the thought of producing the system commercially was born.

It now has a modern Kiwitub burner heating it, demonstrating that the burner can be used for fast water heating of all sorts of water containers, not just the Kiwitub tub. Swimming pools are well suited (not to bath temperature!) and at the other end of the spectrum, those blue plastic water barrels heat 150L (40 gal.) of washing water for camping in about ten minutes flat.
