Kiwitub in the middle of Otago Harbour
This took some co-ordinating: the weather, the local newspaper photographer, persons mad enough to drop everything and come for a hot tub in the middle of the harbour on a weekday, and tides (the island disappears at high tide).
Harbour Control were great: they had a 23-tonne tug and would that be helpful? Pat and I used the yellow canoe to tow the tub out (it floats amazingly well) and bucketed seawater in to fill it.
The women were wonderful: would you say yes to the offer of a hot tub in the middle of the harbour from someone you’d never met before?
