Well, it's been stated before metaphorically, but this time it was literally true. Many thanks to BLA in Auckland and Latham and Rowan at Read Marine in Dunedin who loaned us the Minn Kota electric outboard.

Sharon hadn't even rowed a dingy before, and her brain was exploding as she orbited in small circles out from the Careys Bay slip, working out that if she twisted the control this way, the tub went... THAT way! Fast!

Finally got it sorted out and headed out into Otago Harbour, to a standing ovation from the many transfixed boaties watching her. Try THAT with a spa pool!
